The Kodan Armada. First Screamo post.

Well I have always been meaning to put some screamo up here and now is the time I suppose. The Kodan Aramada are are great band that consists of like 7 dudes about. They are a very good example of the goodness of Screamo. Complex at times and brutal at others, but one things for sure... They are awesome and make for some good tunes. I am gonna be upping some more emo/screamo stuff, seeing how I found some sweet albums of mine I thought lost... So... Look for future up's. It seems I am favoring crust and d-beat here so... Need more diversity! But for now enjoy collections.

Bastard! Wind of Pain...

Japan does some awesome stuff, and Bastard is one of those things. Take your average disclone band and make it awesome... This kind of hardcore is what Tragedy wanted to be, but just could not be... FIGHT ME... Bastard is generic but far from horrible. This is the good stuff right'hur... If you like discharge, Tragedy and the whole Japanese hardcore thing, this is right up yo alley.

Watchmaker...

Watchmaker is a grind band that just brings the goodness. This is what grind is all about. Ruthless assaults and brutality. Watchmaker is good for this kind of shenanigans. These guys are from America, which is odd to me, but... Whatever. I normally think of Japan or South America when I think grind, and some Germany in there too. But Boston!? Boston is the hardcore capitol of the US.

Midori...

Trying to define what kind of music this is would be silly... It's far too frantic and across the boards. It's this one millisecond, then... Something who knows what. Is it fun? Absolutely. Brutal at parts, then soft, then something a kid with severe ADD would make if given a musical instrument. Midori is from Japan, as is most interesting or down right awesome music. Yes I could sit here and pick apart this band but... Listening is way more fun. No one comes here anyways?

These guys are great and consist of members from different countries but were started in Prague and recorded in the Czech Rep. The music is a good rip off of the Swedish style D-beat with some crustiness for flavor...

Das Plague...

Whereas Hongo was the more crusty, Das Plague was more emo. This has all the makes of screamo greats. Twinkly parts leading to full on emotional waves with low pitched vox like Asedio (lol)... This is great and has some serious instrumentals leading to great goodness. Nowadays there are some more bands like this, but when they hit... They were pretty damn original. If you like this try "maladie"...

Hongo... Epic neo-crust goodness...

Hongo was band that was integral to the whole epic crust scene and the guys in this band were in some seriously awesome heavy hitters defining the new crust... This is a melodic form of music mixing the ideals and philosophies of Crust with the sentiment of Emo. This is harsher than some of the more screamo/crusty stuff but still has alot of the same influences. The people in this band went on to some great things, and I can't rec this more...

spastic power violence goodness. The ACxDC stands for Anti Christ Demon Core... This is the kinda shrieky high pitched power violence as opposed to stuff like Man is the Bastard, spazz, infest, and stuff like that. If you like PV like Magrudergrind or insult... ACxDC will be right up your alley...

Final Count... Japanese metal.

Think about a cleaner Hermit Prose, GISM, or Gai... This is a great release, and captures a lot of this type of Japanese metals. Granted it does not deviate too much from the typical but then again, why change a good thing. If you're a fan of the name dropped bands, grip this up... Get into it.

I have been a busy man, trying to get the hell outta dodge, until my shoulder decided it was it's time to hang out and party. My bad shoulder went outta socket and now I wait... For surgery or some kind of relief I would hope. I have no money for surgery, but we'll see how this pans out...

For now, enjoy this mighty offering of D-Beat. Warvictims are just plain brutal and delicious, you will love this. This is the kind of music that is just brutal and fun.

also, please to grip up this other album. It is another release by Cwill, which is just killer... Cwill's newer stuff is the most brutal epic-crust you can find. This is just as vicious, but minus the whole epic violin work... The singers voice is insane... Grip up this and the older post too.
